Off-Campus Credit Studies
Off-Campus Credit Studies arranges selected graduate and undergraduate courses conducted both within and outside North Carolina. Courses are typically initiated in cooperation with an organization or agency for professionals in areas such as library science, public administration, or social work. Any of the courses listed may be canceled if necessary, and courses may be added to this listing at a later date. Courses for which the location is not listed are offered in Chapel Hill by special arrangement.
Trans-Atlantic Masters Program (TAM)
The Trans-Atlantic Masters Program trains graduate students pursuing international careers in administration, diplomacy, business, policy-making, consulting, teaching, and research. TAM is an intensive fourteen-month degree program offered by a consortium of world-renowned universities in the United States and Europe (EAUC). TAM provides students with the opportunity to study on both sides of the Atlantic while earning a master’s degree. Students can choose to receive a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina, or they can opt for a degree granted by one of the European universities.

This program examines a range of practice and policy issues related to the delivery of social work services in the public schools.
School of Government
Municipal and County Administration Courses
The Municipal Administration (GOVT 660) and County Administration (GOVT 661) courses, which are both offered annually by the School of Government, are designed for city and county managers, department heads, and other city or county officials whose responsibilities require an understanding of functions beyond individual areas of specialization. Course instruction spans North Carolina local government law, organization and management, finance and budgeting, personnel law and administration, planning and regulation of development, and specific municipal and county services.
