SPAN 101: Elementary Spanish

• This course uses an online textbook package: Zayas-Bazán, Bacon, and Nibert, ¡Arriba! Communicación y Cultura, 6th edition, includes an interactive version of the text, an interactive student activities manual, and the audio and video programs. SPAN 204 provides a thorough examination of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture through a study of representative cultural readings, songs, and literary texts of fourteen Latin American countries. Grammar and vocabulary exercises are interwoven with interesting cultural material with the ultimate goal of improving students’ communication skills in Spanish.
