BIOL 251: Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology
Self-paced Online and Correspondence
This course covers the various ways by which different body structures maintain normal, healthy functioning. Students explore questions such as: How do muscles make the bones of the skeleton move? What happens to injured bones, and how are they repaired? How does the body respond to injury? How does the body defend itself against bacteria and viruses? Why do hormones act only on certain tissues and not throughout the body?
